Analysis Group Supports Intuit’s Cancellation of Emergency Motion in Misleading Advertising Case

In the case (Federal Trade Commission v. Intuit Inc.), the FTC alleged that Intuit misrepresented the software as free while concealing information that only simple tax returns were eligible for the free service, in violation of Section 13(b) of the the Federal Trade Commission Act. The FTC has filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and a preliminary injunction.
