Andy von Kennel, veteran of advertising agency Arm Candy Taps, as chairman, partner
Arm Candy, a full-service media intelligence agency that helps brands, advertising and ad-tech clients achieve profitable, measurable results, has named Andy Von Kennel as its first President, Partner. Reporting to Arm Candy CEO and Founder John Lods, Von Kennel will be responsible for the agency’s growth and operations.
Von Kennel brings more than two decades of expertise in business development, client management, branding, sales and media strategy to Arm Candy. He has held senior positions in agencies such as Initiative, IPG Mediabrands, RAPP and PHD. Additionally, he has worked on the client side for brands such as Keurig Dr. Pepper, Frito-Lay, and American Airlines.

He is the only suitable person for this position because he understands our mission, shares a passion for creating the best agency experience for our employees, and understands what it takes to grow responsibly,” Lods said.
Founded in 2019 by Lods, then 26, a media planning, data and analytics entrepreneur, Arm Candy has partnered with agencies including Citrus, Lippincott, The Marketing Arm, Tierney, Valtech, as well as to brands such as Caliber Collision, FC Dallas and fan-controlled football. In just over three years, the agency has quickly established a reputation for its comprehensive media offering, exclusive media planning capabilities and data intelligence solutions.

As part of its goal to strengthen its senior leadership, earlier this year Arm Candy brought on another agency veteran, Marian Leonard, as its first chief executive. Leonard is responsible for leading agency talent, operations and finance and is the key stakeholder focused on delivering an agency experience that is rewarding for Arm Candy teams.
