Ogilvy India hires Puneet Kapoor as CCO, Marketing & Advertising News, ET BrandEquity
Ogilvy has announced that Ogilvy’s creative leadership in Bengaluru and its southern markets will be taken over by Puneet Kapoor. The move comes after the departure of Mahesh Gharat and Kiran Anthony, creative directors for Ogilvy’s South India operations, from the agency.
Kapoor comes to Ogilvy from Lowe Bengaluru. His advertising career spans 24 years through Lowe’s, Ogilvy, McCann, BBH and as founder of Eleven Brandworks. His most famous recent work includes campaigns for Unacademy, Swiggy, Fastrack, Titan, Myntra, Udaan, Xiaomi, Redbus, Flipkart, Cleartrip, Britannia, ITC Foods and TVS.
Kapoor will join Ogilvy in March 2022 and will work with the Chief Creative Officers of Ogilvy India and the President of Ogilvy India (South), for Ogilvy’s clients in Bengaluru and Chennai.
Gharat will transition to full-time directing and Anthony will continue to direct Vi in a consulting role while also continuing to direct.
